Who can help you?
First: your company’s administrator
Your access to protol.io is set up by your company. For questions about signing in, access or content, please contact your organization’s administrator first.
Then: protol.io support
Your organization’s owners and administrators reach protol.io support directly in protol.io: under “Support” in the sidebar. There they open requests, report faults and get the answers. If protol.io cannot be reached, email support@protol.io.
By email, please include your company and whether you use the browser or the app. Do not send personal data from the platform, and never send us your password.
Delete your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time: in the app under Account → “Delete account”, or in the browser under Settings → Account. You confirm with your password and are signed out on every device right away; your account is usually deleted after 14 days, and you get a confirmation by email. The deletion cannot be stopped; within these 14 days your organization hands over your tasks to others. If it has to keep your data longer, for example because of a statutory retention duty, it can postpone the deletion once, with a reason, by at most 90 days; we tell you the reason by email. Without access to your account, request the deletion in either of these ways:
- through your organization’s administrator, or
- by email to info@protol.io, ideally from the email address of your account.
We confirm such a request and complete the deletion within 30 days. Either way, completed audit reports remain available to your organization; your name is removed from them. Details are in the privacy policy.
After the account deletion, individual details may remain temporarily in technical logs and backups. Technical usage logs are deleted once their respective retention period has ended; backups are overwritten at the latest 14 days after the data concerned was deleted. Different retention rules may apply to certain operational records, other technical systems and external service providers. Details are in our privacy policy.
